Ways to access mental health services in 2022

*This is written in collaboration with Responsival Life in 2022 can feel rather overwhelming, we have all been through an incredibly trying time, from lockdowns and coming to terms with living in a pandemic, to being unable to spend as much time with family and friends and now readjusting to this new normal, it can be a lot and for many of us, it's had an impact on our mental health. Unfortunately, the pandemic has also had a ripple effect on our health care facilities across the world, with waiting lists being longer than ever, this has been extended to mental health providers as well and I've felt this first hand. My anxiety has flared up and I felt I needed to talk to someone, my first stop was my GP who was impossible to see in person and again waiting lists for therapy or counselling are months (if not years) long so seeking alternative services has been the only viable option. Why Body Positivity is for everyone!

Written in associating with Betterhelp  The past year has been a real game changer for the media and seeing more diversity (although still not enough) in advertisement, magazines, tv etc with people celebrating their bodies and taking to social media to share their story and normalise the notional that their is no such thing as the perfect body and to love the one you have no matter what shape or size and I personally feel it's been a really positive moment and one everyone can join in with. I know this has been the case for myself which is why I am a supporter of the Body Positivity movement. Yet I have had a few messages over the past year when sharing Body positivity related content sayin......

Tips on beating the winter blues

*Written in Collaboration with BetterHelp, sharing my story of SAD  I know that in general I feel more positive, energetic and focused during the warmer months while the opposite can be said for the start of the year as I come off Christmas and New Years exhausted from the stress of it all. My energy levels take a dive and my normal active and out-going self starts to battle with lethargy and the shorter days seem to get to me, the clouds seem to hang lower and feel heavier. Having grown up in the southern hemisphere this is all still fairly new to me and catches me unawares year after year and I find I have to plan lots of activities during the colder months to break the monotony of it all before spring really sets in. Having gone through more than a few cycles of this, pretty much every year since moving to the UK, I know that the reduced amount of sunlight during these months affect me despite even when I make sure to get out as much as possible. The thing is the "Wi......
