What people don’t realise, however, is that they might be spending too much time and resources on our personal style. Of course, you could just put on whatever’s available in your closet (I do this often) but sometimes we want to put together a specific look or if you are attending an event, going to work, meeting up with friends etc or maybe you just want to wear something a little extra special, colourful or fun that also makes you feel good. Dressing up, whether for work or leisure, requires at least a little planning and effort especially as it's often not just the clothes, but you’re also thinking about shoes and accessories that go into the overall look. All of this decision-making takes time that may be better spent doing other things. As a result, you may find yourself skipping ......

Winter Style - Tips for Wardrobe longevity
Even though it's been fairly mild this season, winter is still well and truly here. The other day when we had a bit of a cold snap, while I was out, I realised my nose was cold, which is a sure sign that it is time to have those much needed warming accessories such as gloves and scarfs on hand. As with all the seasons I try and make my clothes last as long as possible and that Slow Fashion is the way forward with sustainability but that doesn't mean you have to be out of trend but instead opting for classic styles with a few on trend pieces to update ones wardrobe, as well as caring for the clothes you already own and opting for quality over quantity. What I love about winter is layering and being able to indulge in all that is simple and cosy and of course being able to justify the need for some new items of knitwear which will keep you nice and warm under a jacket and is also perfect for relaxing at the end of the day with a warm cup of tea or hot chocolate. A love of Brogues
Me in my favourite Clarks brogues One of my favourite multi-purpose shoe for days spent in the city, events, going out for drinks or just running errands has got to be a pair of brogues - they are so versatile and practical but also stylish and I have my eye of a few for Christmas. They are perfect for Autumn and winter weather and pair up so well with skinny jeans or black trousers. What is also great about brogues is that they are a perfect "his & her" option and the work equally well for men for work and socialising have to be one o our favourite kind of footwear. I love these Moorgate brogues by Asos It's been a while since I picked up a new pair and I have worn my current two pairs to the maximum plus I want to move on from my patent or two tone pairs and go for perhaps a pastel option or something a little softer and John is also looking to pick up another pair for work. At the moment the top of my list are these are these beautiful dusty pink A......

Spring into a New Look
I know it's raining but that doesn't stop me having spring in my heart. I love re-using and reinventing outfits and especially since having Arthur the clothes budget has disappeared very quickly as I suddenly have to dress and clothe another person. So it's pretty important when buying a new outfit to take in consideration quality, price and style. I like things to last a fairly longtime but also have to work on a smaller budget so I thought I would look at New Looks spring/summer collection, as over the years I feel the brand and has improved in terms of design and quality and have also started working with and stocking other brands such as Ravel, Dune, Firetrap, Iron fist, Moda in Pelle, Wonderbra and Steve Madden to name a few. So with a £30 budget I wanted to see if I could get a pair of summer sandals and a vintage inspired dressed (was I asking for too much?). When I came across this cute little sleeveless polka dot dress I thought it would make a great summer staple......
