Street Style Sunday - Maternity Casual

I have to admit this week has been a bit of a difficult one for me, my bump has suddenly had a growth spurt leaving me with very few clothes that fit well. I had a rare free day to roam the shops to look for something to wear and discovered Cardiff offers very little in terms of maternity wear choice and it's going to have to be an online shopping experience I am afraid. The only thing I managed to find was a pair of maternity jeans so at least that was something but at a time when so much is changing I think it's important to feel good with how you look and not being able to find something to accommodate my changing shape left me feeling a bit down. Luckily I came across this stretchy grey maternity top from my last pregnancy and pairs it up with some leggings and my aztec cardigan and converse and it made me feel more like myself, casual and fun and a spot of lipstick to put the world to rights. Wearing RL Cardigan, M&S top, H&M leggings, Converse trainers ......

Road Trip Style

When I think of summer I think of road trips, I mean what could be better than jumping into a car and driving into the unknown, meeting new people seeing new places and enjoying the outdoors and life on the road. Both John and I dream of a big American and Canadian road trip - like a lot of people, it would truly be inspiring and the Round the World experts have some really inspiring trips, following on from that inspiration I thought I would put together a little summer road trip outfit, full of comfortable favourites and my short and tee have actually seen a few road trips of there own already. What I am wear Hat - H&M Tee - thrifted Cardigan - Ralph Lauren Denim and Supply (Birthday present) Shorts - Next Sandals - Holster Do you have any road trips or holidays planned? We have a few festivals, camping and a little European break this year, if all goes to plan that is. Bring on summer I say Linking up with Monday Bloom  and StyleMeSunday ......

Dogs don't do Ballet - Theatre Review

Mr A ready for the show At the end of the last month the little man and I were lucky enough to have a little trip to the theatre at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama to watch The Little Angle Theatre puppet production "Dogs don't do Ballet" and we were hooked instantly just by the name, it's screams out curiosity and fun. It can sometimes be hard to find age appropriate shows but this one was perfect for toddlers and children aged 2-6 yrs old. The story is based around a dog called Biff who unlike ordinary dogs likes music and walking on his tiptoes and is convinced he is not a dog but rather a ballerina. This is brought to life through beautiful puppets, ballet music and comedy and it had a lot of laugh out loud moments for both toddlers and adults. It mixes puppets and performers together with the show starting with one of the performers taking the role of the ballet dancer and getting the children to do some ballet moves in their seat, which......

River Island Delight

So I haven't been into River Island for a very longtime, for some reason when I do shop on the high street I find myself in Topshop, Urban Outfitters or H&M and seem to overlook River Island, not for any reason in particular but the shop window on Queen Street really caught my eye and had to have a quick look inside, although due to time constraints I finished the rest of my browsing online at home and I have to say I am very pleasantly suprised with their current collection, it's full of fun prints, aztec designs, music inspirations (very Lana Del Ray) and the new pastel trends, they also have a well tailored men's collection...here are some of my favourite picks.... Here is a sneak peak of some of the mens collection ...
