Packing Light: Travel Strollers That Make Family Holidays a Breeze

Family holidays, for the most part, are full of wonderful moments — sandy toes, sun-kissed cheeks, and memories made in new places. But let’s be honest: travelling with young children isn’t always picture-perfect. Between juggling luggage, keeping little ones entertained, and navigating busy airports, even the most organised parent can feel the pressure. When your travelling with babies and toddlers, you have to factor in transportation for the actual holiday either in terms of a baby carrier, which are fantastic but can is more physical for the parent or travel travel-savvy stroller. Whether you're exploring a cobbled old town, boarding a plane, or just strolling the beach promenade, a compact and reliable travel stroller can make all the difference. Why a Travel Stroller is a Game-Changer Firstly there is a difference between your every day stroller and a "travel" stroller, usually designed to be lighter an easy to navigate.  If you’ve ever found yourself awkwardly stee......

Exploring Little Venice with Go Boat

On a recent trip to London we stayed at the Permier Inn in Paddington Basin, an ever growing area which has been regenerated in the last two decades to create a creative and vibrant place to explore, that runs along the canals near Paddington Station. A short walk from the basin you will find Little Venice, this popular spot is worth the hype, with canal boats, waterside cafes and tree line streets, this is an area we have always enjoyed visiting. For the first time however we got the chance to explore Little Venice and Regents canal from the water with GoBoat , offering a whole new perspective and experience of one of our favourite spots in the capital city.  GoBoat Paddington offers self-drive boat hire on their eco-friendly electric boats that have room for up to 8 people, which makes it very reasonable when you split the cost between so many for such a unique experience. You don't need a boat licence and they teach you everything you need to know to be able to enjoy the waterw......

My 5 Country European interrail Itinerary with kids

Our 3-week Interrail adventure across Europe was one of the best things we have done together as a family. I had Interrailed a few times before having kids so I was especially excited to jump back on the trains with my kids. May. people seem to have the impression that Interrailing is for gap-year youths but that simply isn't the case, it's suitable for every age and children under 12 years old receive their interrail pass for free with an adult.  In an earlier Interrail post, I go into detail on how to plan, book and ensure you have the right reservations, which is really important. But in this post, I wanted to focus on the route we took and where we stayed and a short overview of what we saw. I will do individual destination posts soon where I will go into more depth on activities, where to eat, see and do.  1. Newport - London As we booked an early morning Eurostar from London St Pancras which meant we needed to be at St Pancras no later than 8:30am, we felt it would be b......

5 things to do in Cheltenham with Kids

We recently jumped in the car for a little road trip to the regency town of Cheltenham. I have done a few day trips here many years ago, all sans kids so I was keen to see what this beautiful town had on offer for families. En route we stopped off at Chepstow Castle before heading up the Wye Valley (a more scenic route) before arriving into Cheltenham and checking into the Cotswolds Grange Hotel which has family rooms and were extremely accommodating so do check out my review. While Cheltenham isn't the biggest town it's fairly easy to navigate and explore on foot for both adults and kids, there is also plenty to do in the surrounding areas but I wanted to focus on what there is to do within walking distance of the town centre for those who are visiting by train or are short on time.  1. Find Neptune's Fountain It is said that Neptune's fountain was modelled on the Trevi Fountain in Rome and while this isn't Rome this fountain is still very impressiv......

Visiting London - 6 Activities Your Family Will Love

If you are a regular reader to my blog you probably already know we visit London a couple of time a year, usually with the kids and with so many families flocking to the Capital over the Festive season and New Year I thought I would share a few family friendly activities you should check out while there.  London is an exciting city and there are so many things for a family to do there. Exploring this city is like peeling the layers off an onion, but you will never reach the centre because there are so many things to do. The fact it's so accessible and easy to get to via trains, buses and If you are planning on flying into London, then Heathrow or London City are the nearest airport's. There are excellent public transport systems from both the main train stations and airports, however if you are going to be arriving at rush hour, then it might be best to avoid the packed commuter underground and take a taxi instead , I highly recommend booking in advance if your tra......
