Exploring Cosmeston with the Fiat 500L

If you read the blog you will know that we love spending time outdoors, exploring new places, travel and road trips which are all apart of the fabric that makes up our life. As long as it's fairly dry (yes we venture out in the rain as well) you will normally find us outside knee deep in mud. Of course as the pregnancy has progressed things have slowed down but certainly not stopped and the lovely people at  Fiat thought we would like to try out their new Fiat 500L Beats for two weeks, which are perfect for city or countryside adventures, especially since they are fitted with mud and snow tyres which means the winter weather will not get in the way of our outdoor fun. So we couldn't wait to jump in and make our way over to Cosmeston countryside park in Penarth, which is a wonderful place to spot newts, run among the reeds and get some fresh air. Mr A has taken a real interest in photography lately and can pretty much work my Canon 5D as well as his own littl......

A stroll in the Autumn breeze

Things have been so busy lately that both the Boy and I just needed a really simply and fuss free stroll in the park so once we got back to Cardiff after action packed morning in Bristol with friends, we headed for Roath park where we knew we could see some swans, stroll around the lake and enjoy the rose garden and play park, nothing fussy just simple outdoor fun. It was lovely to spend a few hours of calm in the fresh air and it's something we are doing at every chance we have at the moment, even if it's only for 30 mins I feel like I get itchy feet if we don't spend at least a little bit of time ou......

Swans, bikes and outdoor fun before 2014

So we managed to squeeze some more outdoor fun this week, even with the on/off rain showers. In fact we have a pretty action packed week, with bowling, games, feeding swans and discovering a new cycle path we have not let the weather stop us. We managed to borrow my mothers car and scooted over to Roath Park, which we have not been to in a while and is always a treat. This time round Mr A was not at all fazed by the huge swans and kept putting out his hand for them to peck (he had thick mitts on so found this very amusing) It was one of those beautiful wintery days, very cold but we were wrapped up well and Mr A has been putting his Scandi Ocean waterproof suit through the run - I cannot recommend having one of these suits enough, the kindergarten Mr A goes to spend time outdoors no matter hat the weather and recommend getting one of these from waterproof world . It comes with fisherman style dungarees which adds extra warmth and fits over trousers and unlike snowboarding jac......
