Starting the day the happy way with Nutella

Anyone else starting to feel that back to school anxiety creep in, oh how we have enjoyed being able to lie in a little and I will be the first one to admit that I am not one of the organised moms. In fact, school runs are usually somewhat of a manic mess in our house and how we manage to get out the door in one piece is really an accomplishment in itself so anything that makes the mornings easier and smoother is a massive win in my books.  Usually we can't find the shoes or I have forgot to make the packed lunch the night before or I've lost the car keys, there is always something… But the one thing I always try and make sure is that my eldest has something he likes to eat, so at least I know he has had something to eat before heading out to school. He isn't the biggest eater and not the fastest either, so having something special for those days when I know he just wants something quick and easy can make my life a little less stressful.  Despite having a somew......

Baking, Flowers and Simple Pleasures

As with each passing day and the closer we get to Christmas everything starts to get more and more manic, the shops are busier, more traffic on the road, people rushing around I think now more than ever it's important to just take a moment for yourself. The Marriott Hotel Brussels Review

On our European city break last month to Brussels we were lucky enough to stay not just at one hotel but at two and I love how adaptable toddlers are too change, Mr A loved the first hotel but equally enjoyed packing the backs, walking across the city centre to our next stop the Marriott, which is in a great location about 30 seconds from a metro and tram station and a 5 min walk to the Grand Place Our lovely King Sized bed The great thing about the Marriott is that no matter where you are you can be guaranteed a certain level of customer service and facilities and this one did not disappoint. Upon arrival the staff were friendly and informative and offered us some fresh fruit, city maps and help with our bags. We had a king-sized bed with plenty of comfy pillows. Even though we were offered a crib for Mr A we always opt for sharing the bed (everyone gets a more sound sleep this way) it was no issue as the bed was big enough. The room was spacious and had a lot of ......
