So with little spots of warmish days fading away and sandals being swapped for boots, it's a lovely time of the year. I really enjoy watching the colours in nature change from bright summer flowers to deep reds and browns on fallen leaves. I feel even though I am wearing a dress, the shades are that of autumn and the outfit is simple so layers can be added to accommodate the temperature. I am also trying new things with my hair, as it's been many years since it's been this long (I have always been a pixie cut kinda girl) Laura wears - Dorothy Perkins Dress, HM boots, Guess Watch GIVEAWAY I have also been collecting a few bits and bobs over the past few months to put together a very special beauty giveaway for one of our readers to win, fulled with some amazing products to pamper yourself with. New Mum Chic and style inspiration
So with all the Royal Baby fever and everyone going into overdrive about the whole thing, to be honest I don't keep up with much of that but it does make me reflect on my own pregnancy and the excitement about the arrival date, nervous with what to expect and the instant love you feel when you hold your newborn for the first time and enjoying breastfeeding successfully. As I followed a fairly healthy eating plan throughout my pregnancy and remained active I was lucky enough to be back into my size 8/10 jeans within 10 days - yes this can happen without any crazy diets, of course I still needed to firm up but it was strange suddenly being able to fit normal clothes after a few months of being in maternity wear. I felt after giving birth that my style and taste had changed a bit and found I wanted to wear clothes that were both practical but also on trend and still me. So I have put together some of my favourite looks from Style In View - which allows you to create looks in a super ......

Bristol Fashion and what I wore
So we were very kindly invited to the live blogging event at Bristol Fashion week (although John couldn't make it), I was invited last year but couldn't attend at the last minute so it was really nice to finally make it and see what the new season trends are looking like. On arrive the Bristol Fashion Week tent was very imposing, I have been to London Fashion Week a few times and it reminded me of the main catwalk at Somerset house but of course on a smaller scale. Once inside the tent the staff were friendly and courteous and some bubbly and cupcakes where immediately on offer. All the seats had all the information about the different lines that would be walking the catwalk. The show started with a very impressive James Bond theme with some very talented dancers come models. It was hosted by celebrity stylist Mark Heyes and hairdresser to the stars Andrew Barton, whose covent garden salon I really want to visit the next time I am in the big smoke. You can really see h......

Anyone for tea?
So I had a family event to attend a few weeks ago (when it was sunny) and I want something that was casual yet chic with a vintage sort of feel to it as the day included tea outside and wanted something fun but it also needed to be fairly smart. I didn't have much time to shop so I was very happy when the first store I went into was Dorothy Perkins and saw this little tea dress. I also paired it up with a little New Look headband, shoes from Office, my mothers bracelet, perky little peach nail varnish and a thrifted Leather Satchel. Dress - Dorothy Perkins, Shoes - Office, Headband - New Look, Bracelet - gifted, Bag - thrifted We have also done the draw for The Sphere of life necklace giveaway. We do the draw pretty old skool - everyone who entered has their name printed out and we randomly pick one and the winner is Rosie from the blog - A Pocket Full of Rosie. Don't worry we are running another giveaway soon and if your following the blog you get an automatic en......

Outfit post with a vintage touch
So it has been way too long since I have done a proper outfit post and I am bring them back in a big way :). So here is a dress John bought me a while ago from Dorothy Perkins to wear to a friends vintage inspired birthday. I have paired it up with a satchel I found at the most amazing thrift store cardiff ever sore, unfortunately it didn't last very long and had to close. The jacket is a vintage Gerard Darel, it's so well made and fitted in just the right places and I seem to be in good company with this label as more and more celebs and high profile individuals are stepping out in the french brand such as Reese Witherspoon and Rachel Bilson. Jacket Gerard Darel, Satchel Thrifted, Dress Dorothy Perkins, Necklace M&S, Shoes New Look ...
