Lunch at Babylon, Kensington

Earlier this week we jumped on the train from Cardiff for a much needed day out in London, it feels like it's been forever since both John and I have had the chance to be back in the Capital together, in fact when you have a family it can be a bit of a struggle having any quality time together. We think it's very important to make time for yourself as an individual as well as a couple so when Virgin Experience Days  asked me to choose an experience I thought would be perfect for treating the man in my life in the run up to Fathers day I couldn't wait to surprise John. I am fully aware of how much John does, he works long hours and happily gives any of his free time to spend with our sons and very rarely complains, he is in all honesty a very dedicated father so it was wonderful to raise a toast to him over a three course lunch in the beautiful surroundings that is Babylon , a Roof Terrace on the 7th floor overlooking Kensington. The entrance to Bab......

Bath City Break Part 2

On our second day in Bath, during our # BeAGreatWesterner weekend adventure we decided to head out on the water and take a 25 minute boat ride along the river Avon to Bathhampton where we came across a stunning countryside pub, nestled right by the waterside and enjoyed some tapas and a cheeky cocktail in the sun. It was such a relaxing way to spend an afternoon, with Mr A running around, climbing trees and coming across a damselfly, we felt like a million miles away when in fact we were just outside the city. Bath is undoubtedly a beautiful place and offers so much for all the family, if I had my way we would live in this part of the world as it's such a visually interesting city with so much heritage and with the river Avon running through it you also feel really connect with nature. Mr A loved the boat ride and meandering down the river on a sunny afternoon really cannot be beat. Once we returned to the city centre we had a stroll around th......

Three things - Interior loves

So they say it's the little things in life that count and it's the small touches that really make a home so I thought I would share three things that have caught my eye this week and I would love to have in the home, all simple but beautiful. First of all I am trying to find more time to read and love this Literary Art from In Spaces , it would be perfect for my reading nook. If you read the blog you probably already know I love Scandi and Nordic interiors, the simplicity combined with well made furniture and beautiful objects if done well can create a lovely, creative space and I would love to put this Nordic slip glazed stoneware jug from Rigby & Mac, where is you will also find this hand screen-printed chevron cushion. I have a thing for yellow this season, it's one of my new favourite colours for the home....

Street Style Sunday - Printed Dress

I bought this Mela Loves London dress at the start of my pregnancy and only got to wear it a few times before it no longer fit but with it being buttoned all the way down it actually means I can wear it while I am nursing Baby G so it was in fact a perfect maternity and post maternity buy. I am trying to wear more prints, espeically as we come into summer and I love this almost oriental bird and flower print. I have paired it up with a jacket from M&S my well worth patent Clarks brogues and a Ralph Lauren bag. I am still struggling a little bit with adjusting to "normal" clothes after the pregnancy but it only means I have to be slightly more creative with what I wear. I really hope you can come and join in with Street Style Sunday - anything fashion related goes including what has been inspiring you this week or what your little ones, family or partner has been wearing. An InLinkz Link-up ...
