I have always been a believer in the power of learning whether that be formally or just improving your knowledge through reading, workshops or learning a new creative skills, at the end of the day we are never too old to learn something new and with kids heading back to school I find know is a good time to look at options for our own learning . Over the years I have often thought about doing a course that may give me more insight and knowledge into what my children need, no necessarily to change careers but just to give me added skills. I would love to do a Forest School course one day, purely because it's something I am interested in learning more about as we tend to spend a lot of time outdoors together. Wow we have had tons of adventures lately all of which I have shared on instagram and thought it would be nice to do a little round up From top, let to right 1. Forest School Adventures
So last friday we had a mini road trip to Bristol, which to be fair is only 45 minutes away and we love popping over to that side of the bridge especially for something as fun as a morning spent in the forest with some other lovely bloggers and Wild Foresters the organisers of the Halloween themed Forest school morning. The venue - Wraxell Piece Woodland can be quite tricky to find and it did take a few people a while to get there but once we had all arrived it was only a short work to the little outdoor classroom which already had a small campfire going. The children were then handed some sheets with various objects to find such as sticks, pumpkin colour leafs, twigs etc and Mr A really enjoyed this mini challenge before having some biscuits and marshmallows around the fire.
