For the home

I love this print from Cardboardcities for £10 I thought I would put together a little Monday interior inspiration gift guide  post showcasing three independent shops as when it comes to this time of the year I think support local and independent is really important and plus you can find some really amazing and unique pieces. I really love Cardiff based Illustrator Laura from Cardboardcities who creates some quirky and colourful collages, prints and notebooks. Fritha from TigerlillyQuinn who is Bristol based has a very cute online shop that stocks an array of homeware, jewellery and other cute bits and bobs, in fact I picked up a lovely little paint yourself crocodile for Mr A's birthday earlier this year. Lastly Polly, a blogger and small business owner of Cariadon who is based in North Wales hand makes the most wonderful bath and skin products out of natural ingredients and her products would make perfect stocking fillers. 1.  Set of 3 pastel retro suitcases ......

5 Top Tips To Make Learning Fun

Since having Mr A at home we have found that we have naturally started working in a certain way, we love outdoor learning as this seems fun and natural to us, as well as painting, drawing and crafting a lot these days and have made a learning station for him. For the first time we have also started to embrace technology, something I was pretty strongly against but with heavy supervision we have seen some benefits from things like learning eggs and fun maths games. Of course this whole journey and experience is a learning curve for all of us. We can see the benefits for Arthur dealing with real experiences every day such as counting change when we go shopping or having to pay the bus driver, how long it takes us to drive places and socialising with his friends who are of slightly different ages. He has really started to come out of himself and grow into his own person which is such an exciting thing to witness. We don't always get it right but so far it's been pretty fun. ......

Street Style Sunday - My Kipling

Laura wears - Joules dress, HM jacket, Converse shoes, gifted scarf, Kipling backpack Another lovely instalment of Street Style Sunday and I can't believe its another week later and I am now 27 weeks pregnant - ahhhh where is the time going. The bump has grown loads in the past 3 weeks and I am now officially squeezing out of my normal clothes into maturity clothes, except in this outfit post which may be the last of me in non-maternity fashion. I love that my Joules dress naturally fits my growing bump and it's lovely and thick and perfect for Autumn and Winter. I also picked up this jacket from H&M in Amsterdam when we were there a few weeks ago, it just has such an autumn feel to it. The lovely people over at Kipling also sent me this backpack as part of the #SheWearsKipling campaign. I am a regular wearer of backpacks simply because they compliment my busy lifestyle running after a little outdoors as well as a great way store my camera but someti......

Wellies, Puddles and a Castle

We love spending time outdoors - fact! But when winter draws in it means the all weathers and waterproof jackets come out along with the wellies. The little man loves jumping in puddles (as do I) so when the lovely people over at Clarks asked us to put some to the test as part of the  #StyledByClarks campaign and of course we couldn't wait to get started. I recently attended the Clarks Press day in London and just have to say they have some of the best shoes for kids ever, so fun and innovative. Our local store in St Davids, Cardiff had a great selection and Mr A was instantly drawn to these pirate wellies which are super fun and cute and have a nice grippy sole which is perfect for climbing castle stairs, rocks and ruins, which Mr A is very much into at the moment. This week we picked up a great little book about Castles and Knights at our local charity shop and thought we would pop to Caerphilly Castle for some first hand learning. The li......
