Well can you believe it, almost another year down and I'm still here doing what I love and sharing our favourite moments with you all and I just wanted to stop for a moment and say thank you to all those that have followed my blog along on my little journey in this somewhat crazy world. Whether you celebrate Christmas or not I hope you have all had a wonderful past couple of weeks, enjoyed and embraced the company of friends and family, have managed to find sometime for yourself amounts the festive madness and are looking forward to the New Year with renewed positivity. I look forward to sharing more of our adventures, my on-going minimalist challenge and hopefully a house move will be on the cards soon as well. Also remember to just take it easy, you don't have to have everything planned as life itself is such a gift just try and find the happy in whatever form that may take. So from my family to yours hope your 2018 is full of wonderful experiences and with......

A little Instalife
Around once a month I like to do a little instagram round up of what we have been getting up to as they are of course little snapshots of our life and help capture those little moments and simple pleasures. We are counting the days down to officially welcoming Spring and have been making the most of every dry day that has come our way, as well as making new things and discovering new places. 1. Loving this simple Apple, Cucumber and Lime drink 2. Enjoying the sun rays in North London after visiting The George Home 3. Capturing Colour in Cardiff on St Davids Day 4. A walk in the park with my little knight 5. A tired baby G after an exciting day out in London 6. Cooking up a yummy root and kale soup 7. Getting ready for mothers day with this beautiful Thortful card 8. Treading the boards and trying out the new pastries at Brod , Danish bakery in Pontcaan 9. A city adventure with this little man, dressed for the cold. What have you been getting up to this month?...

How to plan a holiday with ease
No matter if it’s just a short city break, a week away in France or even a once in a lifetime roadtrip across America, a lot of planning goes into making a trip a smooth and enjoyable one. The first thing I do is get out a map of the area as well as general guide book on the area, then we as a family decide roughly where we want to go and what we want to see, after that we hit the internet with force. Our first stop is usually tripadvisor, airbnb, lonely planet, couch surfing, travel blogs and forums to name a few, with so much information is can be hard to keep on top of it or take it all in and with all those open tabs it can become a mess, the worst is finding a useful page or thread and then losing it in the chaos of planning never to be found again, well that’s where Tripcipe comes in as you can gather all your information from any website with one click and clip it onto a map for easy access and organisation and you can even take your plans with you on the road with it......

Celebrating Local in the Heart & Home
I have to be honest here and say, being an expat, that Cardiff did not initially do it for me, it's not a visually beautiful city like Edinburgh or Bristol, it doesn't have the northern quarter like Manchester or the rural charm of Truro and of course, is minuscule in comparison to London but over the past few years it has really grown on me with it's imposing castle, beautiful Bute Park and friendly locals. It's started to see a real revolution in terms of food and fashion with pop-up stores, festivals and markets happening every weekend, along with music and theatre shows. The city centre has also really expanded it's reach with new developments being built all the time as well as investment going into previously overlooked parts. It feels like a rather exciting time, a time of movement and opportunity and right now we are really enjoying the city so when Wallpapered got in touch and told us about their custom postcode wallpaper or canvas map art we......

5 Films to inspire Wanderlust
I recently joined the Netflix stream team and I am really excited to put together my first post of what we have been watching and indulging in. I cannot believe the selection and have been really spoilt for choice, I have found that we have both been watching a lot of documentaries and things we perhaps would not normally watch. This week I thought I would share what has been inspiring wanderlust in us, as you know we love to travel so these films are a feast for the eyes culture wise. Splinters A surfing documentary about a small and fairly isolated part of Papa New Guinea where the waves are amazing and unlike other surfing hotspots of the world, pretty known and uncrowded. The documentary follows the local community most of who are unemployed or on low income, with some of the younger kids surfing on planks of wood - hence the name splinters. It's an inspiring documentary which follows the first National Papa New Guinea surf competition and this far-flung communiti......

Relaxing and recallibrating 1/52
This week we have been taking things slow by heading off to Bluestone National Park Resort in Wales to indulge in some fresh air and to relax and recalibrate ourselves after Christmas and New years which seems to get more and more manic year on year. So far it's been a lovely short break and even we have had some rain it's also given us a chance to reconnect with nature, stomp around in Wellies, jump in puddles and wade through rivers. I's been the perfect break away before heading back to reality and the start of a new year. I have also been very excited about being asked to be involved with The Mumdrum 52 weeks campaign which encourages parents to document one memory a week throughout the year, which can be used to make an online memory book, which personally I think is a great idea as there is nothing better than looking back over all the memories you have created throughout the year and best of all it's super easy to be involved and you can also share......

Our 2015 Cruise Wish-list
Being parents and leading rather busy lives, planning ahead is key, of course, we still love to do things on a whim but with another little one on the way in February we are already putting our travel wish-list for next year together now and we have found ourselves for the first time talking about the possibility of a cruise, something we may have not considered before but I have to say with all the amazing child-friendly options today it's sounding more and more appealing and here are a few more reasons why you should not discount taking a cruise next year They are very family-friendly and offer some great entertainment options and on-board facilities which will be perfect when we have a newborn travelling with us. Taking a cruise also allows us to visit a few destinations in one visit which is something that is very attractive to us. It's something a little bit different, I have been on a month long cargo ship before but it was nothing like a cruise ship woul......

Street Style Sunday - My Kipling
Laura wears - Joules dress, HM jacket, Converse shoes, gifted scarf, Kipling backpack Another lovely instalment of Street Style Sunday and I can't believe its another week later and I am now 27 weeks pregnant - ahhhh where is the time going. The bump has grown loads in the past 3 weeks and I am now officially squeezing out of my normal clothes into maturity clothes, except in this outfit post which may be the last of me in non-maternity fashion. I love that my Joules dress naturally fits my growing bump and it's lovely and thick and perfect for Autumn and Winter. I also picked up this jacket from H&M in Amsterdam when we were there a few weeks ago, it just has such an autumn feel to it. The lovely people over at Kipling also sent me this backpack as part of the #SheWearsKipling campaign. I am a regular wearer of backpacks simply because they compliment my busy lifestyle running after a little outdoors as well as a great way store my camera but someti......
