Creating a fabulous bathroom and Pebble Grey Giveaway

When we moved into our new little cottage one of the main things letting it down was the bathroom. It had awful carpet tiles on the floor in a totally uninspiring grey/brown shade. So of course the first thing that had to go was them, which we replaced with some simple repurposed tiles which have already made a huge difference in the transformation of our small bathroom in the eves. That's the thing about small spaces such as bathrooms that even simple changes can have a huge impact and by keeping the floor one colour and uncluttered it's made the room feel more spacious and airy.

The next step was to do a complete repaint it looked like it hadn't been painted in years and really needed to be freshening up. We decided to go for Jasmine white on the walls to create a more bright and fresh feel and opted for Farrow and Ball egg shell blue on the woodwork, keeping things simple, subtle and stylish. Between the new tiles on the floor and a fresh coat of paint our bathroom feels like it's really starting to take shape, although we are not completely finished.

We still need to replace the glass shower panel which has probably been up there for the past 10 years and is well overdue an updated as well as the taps on the bath and sink which are somewhat outdated and buy investing in some high quality traditional style taps it will really transform the bath and sink without actually having to replace them altogether.

Something else that has been on my mind a lot is the mirror, since every bathroom has a mirror it's a rather important accessory and should not be overlooked as every guest will be looking at it at some point when they come over the visit.
