I was so happy in London at the weekend, after all the cyclists that had gone by and some of them rather riskily so (I very nearly got run over by one actually) when I saw a a somewhat sylish lady cyclist wearing a helmet.<br />My parents have always been the kind to encourage safety first, and I&#39;ve begrudged them it at times. However last year my sister had an accident on her bike and though she was not good for a while we were told the helmet really did safe her life.<br />Yet on the one hand I think cycling is great as both a way to keep fit and an alternative to cars and other less green methods of transport.
