“When it rains, it pours.” that quote is perfect for summing up those times when things are just not going right and it feels like one thing after another. I myself have experienced it several times in my life when the obstacles seem to come almost at the same time, they don't always have to be big obstacles or issues and sometimes a run of bad luck is actually laughable as I always try and see life as the glass half full and not take things to seriously. Saying that it can be stressful if it's to do with work, the family etc but it's all about putting things in perspective and not forgetting that.

It's easy when going through a rough patch to ask your self when is it going to end and it's during these times motivation and self-worth can be questioned but I think sharing how you feel is really important. I lost a close friend to cancer recently and have found talking things through and remember the good memories really beneficial and therapeutic. As they say the mind is a powerful thing and this quote seems to sum that up - “The biggest and most complex obstacles you’ll ever have to overcome is your mind. If you can overcome that, you can overcome anything.”

I thought I would share some inspirations that you can take wherever you go to boost your motivation when it seems like things are piling up. These are useful strategies that can freshen a positive mindset in life.

making memories

1. You always have an option. Yes, you always have a choice. Do you want to feel down and frustrated? Without even knowing and subconsciously we do at times choose to be negative. If you want to be positive despite the adversaries, you do have the ability to focus on the good in the bad rather the bad in the good. The strongest weapon to fight stress is your ability to choose what you want to do in life.

2. One of the most rewarding times of your life is when you finally let go of the things that you can’t change. In life, there are things that you hold no control over and learning to let go of these things will really give you a sense of freedom. You would also have the opportunity to improve, appreciate and nurture the things that you have control with.

3. It’s not the weight that brings you down, it’s the way you carry it. Despite any problems remember to look at the glass half full rather than half empty. You can utilize the negative things such as financial difficulties, career and personal problems as motivation to do and think better in life because changes. can be made.

 4. As they say it’s always better to be tired from a hard work than to be tired by doing nothing even when its hard. Treat these trying times as an opportunity to grow as a person, there are always lessons to be learnt in any situation.

5. Worrying can become a real misuse of your energy. Why worry for the things that have not existed or happened yet as worrying rarely solves the issue at hand. Instead try and find a solution to the problem. If your paricularly worried about something such as your relationship for example than you realy should try and talk to someone and you can even do this at home with online couples counseling .

6. Think how happy and effective you would be if you take out the worry and replace it with positivity? If you have tons of problems at the moment, try and treat it first with positivity rather than negativity. You never know the reward waiting for you if you have accomplished one big task that you thought you will never be.

7. Your effort is always counted. Don’t be afraid to try even the result is not what you expected. A negative result doesn’t mean that you failed. Remember that “Difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations". Even it’s not what you expected, trying your best would always bring you lessons, make you stronger, makes you more patient, more successful, more experienced and wiser in life.

8. Your next move is always worth taking. Don’t be discouraged to take risks in life. Your next decision and your actions are always valuable, whether you garner favorable results or not. What’s important is that you made a bold decision or action to change what you have right now. Taking an effort to change your current situation is worth taking no matter what happens. Always believe that things will change and positive things will come at the right time. It may not happen right now, but things would definitely improve.

9. Long-term success in life is a combination of ability, motivation, and attitude and can't be cultivated overnight. You need to put in the work hard to earn it. You also need to learn the skills required for what you want to achieve as well as have the motivation and push to do your goal and lastly, you need to have the right attitude to accomplish it. These 3 are very important.

10. You would not succeed if you spend time with people who don’t believe in you. Whether it is your friends or family, spending time with people who don’t trust your abilities is wasteful of your time. If you have a goal in mind surrounding yourself with positive but realistic people is the most affective away of getting the support you need.

Your status in life, ageand gender should not limit you from becoming what you really want in life. Struggles are part of life. It is made to hone your skills and knowledge so you will become a better person and wiser in your endeavour. Of course if you are really struggling at the moment do talk to someone, perhaps seek a professional such as a therapist or if you are dealing with some kind of addiction that is affecting your life or mood than it's time to get help and remember changes can always been made
