6 months, milestones and giveaway

thoughtful baby

I cannot believe this little man is already 6.5 months old, how is that even possible? So much has happened and suddenly he is so mobile, expressive and becoming such a character. Baby G is such a pleasure, he is a bundle of laughs and smiles, he doesn't nap during the day but is a fairly good sleeper at night although still wakes at least once, but oh he does make our hearts sing and he wakes up every day with the widest grin. He also feels like a bit of an old soul and I think the photo above captures his long thoughtful stares.

The two boys in a Bell Tent at Just So Festival

So we have hit some major milestones in terms of his development, for one he is crawling and I mean full on crawling, I don't think Mr A did this until latest 8-9 months so we were a little under prepared to have such a mobile little baby who is already pulling himself up onto things as well as getting from his stomach to sitting on his own. He is a fair bit bigger than what Mr A was at this age and has been in 6-9 month clothes since before he was 5 months old and is flying through the sizes, something I am not used to as Mr A would get months and months of wear out of things.

We are doing baby-led weaning which has been a lot of fun and he has developed some favourite foods mainly being strawberries, raspberries, avocado and plain pasta and the only things he has been less keen on is broccoli and parsnip. Breast feeding has still been going fantastically well something which I am very grateful for as I love the bond it has created. Baby G also had his first 3 nights under canvas at the Just So festival two weeks ago and he loved it as did we all and we are hoping to cram one last camping adventure in before the end of summer.

Life with two has been interesting to say the least and I would say that at the moment it's probably the most trying as the baby is into everything and you cannot put him down for a second before he is crawling off to explore which we are still finding a balance that works with Mr A being at home and needing to stick to some kind of routine that allows for learning, crafts and going outside but we are getting there, in our own way.

Baby G in his "My Baby's name Is" sleeping bag

It's helped being able to get Baby G all nice and comfy at night in his lovely My Baby's name is sleeping bag, which is not only super cute but also very practical and ethically made. I know there are various ones out there on the market but I love how soft this one is and how well made, we went for a fairly unisex colour but they have some wonderful and bright options as well. They are designed by Szymon who is based in London and was inspired by his daughter Matylda when they couldn't seem to find a sleeping bag that suited their needs

The great thing is I have one My Baby's Name Is sleeping bag to giveaway to one of our readers worth £39.95 and it's super easy to enter
