Mr A at the Ralph Lauren Literacy Event

So last month we have the amazing opportunity to attend a wonderful event with Ralph Lauren in Harrods that not only combined kids fashion and style but also supported the Booktrust with the aim to encourage literacy - a win win all-round if you ask me. As some of you may already know John especially loves RL (well all of us do really) and we have never been disappointed with any of our purchases and they cater for the whole family plus also have some amazing homewares so Mr A was particularly excited about this and he loves taking the fast train to London.

They had sectioned a special part off in Harrods Junior Design Apparel area with a beautiful mini bar just for the children which included the cutest little cat biscuits and pastries plus an array of sparking soft drinks. They created a little reading den with pillows scattered on the floor for the kids to sit on while TV presenter Gaby Roslin read her favourite children's stories and all the little ones really enjoyed it.

After the reading all of the little ones had a chance to play dress up with the A/W 14 collection. Mr A loved these red trousers which I think are actually girls trousers but at his age I don't think it matters really and whatever is comfortable goes. It also gave us a chance to have a look at the lovely Literacy Program charity t-shirts that are currently on sale and an amazing 25% of the the purchase price goes towards Booktrust who believe that books really have the power to transform lives and I have to agree with that.

I love the Booktrust literacy collection from RL

Also I have to say when it comes to Christmas interiors Ralph Lauren really know how to hit the nail on the Hamptons New York logs by the fire style to a tee and it's so quintessential I think it's really hard not to fall in love with there Christmas styling

  1. This looks like an amazing event and I love the quote on the tote bag - really inspiring and so true, especially for children who are just starting to fall in love with reading.

  4. I also loved the fact that our team building events was the only party they booked for the day - yes, just one event each day - which meant the entire staff was focused on our event.
