Ducks and Minnows

We are very lucky to leave near a quite country park and after my op I was excited to visit it while I get my energy levels back up to normal. We can enjoy hours here relaxing and enjoying the simple things like looking for minnows in the babbling river or talking to the friendly ducks. We also watched some beautiful blue dragonflies whizzing around.

I love this time of the year as everything is coming to bloom and we noticed a few little duckings on the river. A cycle track runs through the park which is great as it provides a smooth path to cycle along and joins up to a waterfall and large green spaces. Mr A couldn't wait to get his helmet off when we go to the field leading up to the adventure park.

active family

Just one of those easy and simple days out, me and the little man, having fun in the fresh air. Another exciting milestone we reached this week was pulling our first load of potatoes, we would of normally left them for a few more weeks but this one potato bag was getting hit with slugs at an alarming rate and last year we lost a lot of our potatoes to slugs and didn't want to take the risk this year so pulled them early to use in a salad, Mr A loves getting his hands dirty and really enjoyed seeing the labours of our hard work.
