Together we can climb a mountain

outdoor fun

Well sort off anyway. Over the weekend we were blessed with some dry sunny weather and decided to pop down to a lovely cycle track that runs through the countryside. Mr A loves to ride his bike and I also decided to cruise on my skateboard as it's been a longtime since I have been back on my board since my Knee Surgery which was injured on a Vans sponsored All Girl Skate tour a few years back. We had a great time racing each other down some small hills and Mr A also had a go on the board which is lovely to see.

The little man noticed a bridge and a small path we had not ventured up yet and decided we would follow his lead as he seemed pretty keen to check it out. It's was quite a peaceful and we came across some lovely old oak tree's next to a meadow. After while it brought us out into a more built up area but having a rough idea of where we were we decided to slowly make our way back to the car which would take a while and since we were in no rush it didn't matter if we got a little lost.

After walking for sometime up a hill we stumbled across a great little park with a field adjacent to it which is perfect for running around and provided a lovely view across the valley. The park also had the most amazing mound which to climb and roll down and the two boys had so much fun climbing the "mountain" and chasing each other down it.

It was a perfect way to spend a sunday with the two boys, outdoors having fun, laughing and running around, exploring our surroundings and discovering new places to play.

  7. Nothing quite like climbing mountains:-) Love the skateboarding too. My kids have been getting into it, but it's not a skill I can help them with. I just hope they can figure it all out. Planning to take them to a skate park for some observations.

  11. Those skateboard photos are the sweetest thing. My little girl went on her scooter for the first time the other day - she refused to scoot though and demanded to be pulled along - still got some sweet photos though :D!

  14. Argh, I'm kicking myself for not making more of the weather! I've not been feeling well so have opted for staying inside while Laurence takes Talitha out. Silly, silly!
