London Love Part 1

So it's John's birthday this week and even though we both visit London fairly often it is rare for us both to have a day together in the big smoke, let alone for two days without the little man (this is only our 2nd proper night away from him). It was great to have a bit more time to stroll around soho or check out the shops we love but never have time to get too. We stayed in a great little boutique hotel right in the heart of soho which had a lovely courtyard with spiral staircase and sunny roof terrace and best of all in the evening in the terrace they served wine with antipasti's and cheeses, all included, which is a great way to socialise and start the evening off.

We started the day off taking a stroll to Carnaby street, as just off it is one of Johns favourite boutique denim companies - Albam, he treated himself to a denim tote bag which will be perfect for work.
We also had a drink at one of our favourite places on Wardour Street - The Ship, a traditional British pub and a great place to get a pint, which was particularly refreshing since it was starting to creep up into the mid 20's, a temperature we don't feel a lot in Wales.

During the day as we where going to be doing a lot of walking we both went for comfortable outfit choices. My new shorts got a little bit creased on the journey up but they are nice and light, great for a warm day, and eco as well - being part of the HM conscious collection. I also wore my creepers, with my Carlos studded bag and topshop necklace. John sported his YMC loafers with Edwin jeans and Woolrich short sleeve shirt.

As the day went on we had a quick bite to eat, whizzed around on the underground visiting various places, chilled out in Soho gardens for a while, enjoying the warmth of the afternoon and decided to head back to the hotel so I could pick up my jacket and change for the evening. We started out with cocktails in Camden and then headed back to Soho where we had a little ride on a rickshaw and enjoyed some lovely french cider in the Frenchhouse.

For the evening I thought I would try out my new shoes I had just ordered from Asos paired with a striped vest from Religion with my gifted jacket, topshop skinny jeans and Carlos bag. We had a great time and the next instalment of what we did on the second day, including visiting Ralph Lauren will be up in a few days....enjoy :)

  3. That sounds like an awesome time! My hubby and I so appreciate our little getaways sans kids too. That photo of the olives, wine and hummus reminds me of one of our favorite date night restaurants. You both look so stylish and your photos are gorgeous! Thanks for linking up.

    1. Hi

If we had more time we would explore a lot more but you know as soon as you have a child you never have the luxury of time so it was great to be in such a lively part of London :)

  7. Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as
though you relied on the video to make your point.
You obviously know what youre talking about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your weblog when you could be giving us something enlightening to read?
