Tractor Ted Farm Show

12/06/2013

On sunday we made our way across the boarder from Wales to lovely Wiltshire and Bowood Country Estate, which is such a beautiful place and a great setting for the Tractor Ted Farm show, an event we have been looking forward to for a few months. Tractor Ted is literally Mr A favourite thing, he is obsessed with tractors, excavators and Combine Harvesters and the farm show to him was like living the dream and it really didn't fail to meet our expectations.

The farm show really had something for everyone and was jammed packed with activities, workshops and shows. Mr A loved the farm animals he could get up close and personal with and we watched an egg hatch! The highlight of the day was the digger and combine demonstration and Mr A had a chance to set in a JCB and tractor!

They also had the famed Tractor Ted for little ones to climb on, Mr A made a bee-line straight for it and he was so chuffed to finally see Tractor Ted in person. There was also a Tractor Ted cinema, Tractor and trailer rides, sheep shearing, pony rides, a ball pit and mini excavators for toddlers to ride as well as sheep dog trials, dog shows and lots of lovely craft stalls. Mr A and I also braved the Helter Skelter together, which he loved.

Bowood house has a Tractor Ted Little Farm for the rest of the year and I cannot recommend enough visiting this amazing estate. I am sure we are going to be back very soon, in the mean time  though we picked up a little wooden tractor ted for Mr A to play with, an amazing day.

Every week we join up with Coombe Mill Country kids linky - so if you love to spend time outdoors why not join in.

  1. I love this, every young boys dream! Looks like you both had a wonderful time. I assume Dad gets the credit for that great shot halfway down the helter skelter? Rather impressed Mr A kept his stylish hat on all day too, I always failed with that task on mine. Thanks for linking a lovely post.

    1. We can only get him to keep on hats that he picks, if we pick one for him it will be off his head in about 30 seconds :)

  7. Don't be fooled by a new paint job. It could be covering up things. Also look at the tires.d110 john deere
