So I am really excited to put together this outfit for the Fashion Blogger Sustainable Fashion Outfit competition running on Style Is and have been meaning to do a little outfit post of this lovely People Tree dress I bought the other day and thought it would be a perfect fit as you need to have at least one sustainable, up cycled, vintage or locally made item in the outfit and my whole outfit consists of this! So here is a rundown of what I am wearing.
Dress - Organic People Dress bought on Ebay - so not only is it ethical it's also secondhand and upcycled.
Scarf - was originally my Mothers for a few years and then when she was going to get rid of it I jumped at the chance to have it as I wear it all the time and is made by the British brand Bodens.
Earrings - My earrings were bought at a "Direct from the makers" market in Cape Town, South Africa and was bought directly from the maker who was a lovely lady from the townships on the outskirts of Cape Town
The Bangles - I called these my little treasures as they were all found by Johns Dad while out metal detecting on Porthcawl beach, so not only are they beautiful but also have played a small part in cleaning up the beach.
The Bag - is and eco-tote from Bags of Change and is made from organic cotton and hemp, when you shop in certain independent eco and health shops across the UK is gives you a discount for re-using the bag.
The Shoes - the shoes were bought from a charity shop a few months ago and I wear them all the time.
This week I have also joined up with some great Linkys - What I wore Wednesday over at Pleated Poppy, Whatever Whenever wednesday at Rolled up pretty and Random Wednesday from Because Shanna Said so - so why not join in :)
